Who would your perfect car passenger be? Do you like someone who would be able to chat away to you and make the trip go a lot quicker, or would you rather be in the car with someone who was quiet and let you get on with concentrating on the drive?
Turtle Wax, the car waxing company have put together a fun little poll to find out which celebrities we would favour in the car. And it seems that X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been voted the dream car companion across men and women. Women even picked her against favourites David Beckham and George Clooney, with a fifth of women nominating her as their favourite. Not surprisingly a third of men agreed with this accolade, meaning that the Geordie singer wins the award for dream passenger.
Kelly Brook, lingerie model and TV presenter came second to Miss Cole, commanding a quarter of the male vote, and Cameron Diaz, famous for films such as My Sisters Keeper and There’s Something About Mary came third.
Andrew Freeman, European marketing director at Turtle Wax, who commissioned the survey of 3,000 people, said: “People will be shocked that many women chose Cheryl ahead of the likes of David Beckham and George Clooney but this just goes to prove how popular she is.
Thanks to her role as an X Factor judge lots of people believe they know the real Cheryl and they like what they have seen and heard.”
Jordan (or Katie Price as she is sometimes called) was voted the least appealing person to share a car with, and Kerry Katona (former Atomic Kitten and Dancing on Ice contestant) came second as the worst companion. With a fifth of females voting her this way, and fifteen percent of men. The third worst female celebrity to get stuck on a road trip with was Amy Winehouse.
No surprises there then!
